The gemmy Cerussites all have excellent clarity and luster, and the largest is 3 cm in size and sharply twinned! The drusy Duftite matrix has excellent color and superb luster, as well. The large crystal is pristine save for one tiny ding in a crevasse on a back face. The large Cerussite twin is freestanding and complete all around, otherwise. The one contacted Cerussite (shown in the upper-right photo on the far right side of the piece) suffers very little for it and is trivial anyhow, as you can see in the other three display angles. Duftite is named for a mine manager. In 1920, the German mineralogist Otto Pufahl described a new lead-copper arsenate from the Tsumeb mine in what is now Namibia and named it for Gustav Bernhard Duft[1].
