Dr. David worked at Bell Labs from 1950 to 1970, eventually rising to Executive Director of Communications Systems Research. U.S. President Nixon tapped Dr. David to serve as National Science Advisor from 1970 to 1973. He also sat on NASA’s Advisory Council and served as the U.S. Representative to the NATO Science Committee.
