Where it forms, where it's found

Geological setting

Retrogressed eclogite. Replaced nyböite formed previously under high-P eclogite-facies conditions when uplift and retrogression toward amphibolite-facies conditions occurred. Extra Al, Fe2+, and Ca derived from resorbed garnet.
