The tan Greifensteinite, which is a rare phosphate, grows in tight acicular balls up to .7 cm. These sit on rich clusters of translucent-to-transparent, coffee-colored crystals of Eosphorite (Hydrated Manganese Iron Aluminum Phosphate Hydroxide). These both rest on the very rare phosphate Gormanite. Most crystals of Gormanite are small and are usually associated with the Yukon, Canada Type Localities - Rapid Creek and Big Fish River, but these are superb sprays of large (up to 1.3 cm), deep sea-green, radiating clusters of acicular crystals with an attractive greasy luster.
