Pegmatitic granites are very coarsely-crystalline, intrusive igneous rocks formed by cooling of water-rich magmas, which promotes relatively rapid growth of large crystals.  Pegmatites are dominated by the minerals quartz and K-feldspar; biotite and muscovite mica are frequently present.  They also often have a relative abundance of unusual and \"trash can\" minerals that have high concentrations of incompatible elements (= atoms too large or too small to fit into \"normal\" minerals that formed earlier).
