Metatyuyamunite was a rare mineral at Mashamba and the specimens where recovered in the mid 1980’s. The Carnotite is of a paler yellow than the Metatyuyamunite and not well crystallized. The minerals are sitting on a bed of Malachite. The Malachite sits in turn on Heterogenite covering Quartz crystals. Carnotite and Metatyuyamunite were rare minerals at Mashamba and the specimens where recovered in the mid 1980’s.
