Geological setting

Found as microscopic grains in a heavy concentrate from a river in the Vilyui Drainage Basin, Russia; presumably weathered out of the Ust-Khannin intrusive gabbro.

Heavy mineral concentrates from gabbro, post magmatic activity in mineralized sandstones and dolomites.
