Morphology

Occurs as crystals to 30 microns, grains. A few comparatively large black crystals to 6mm were at the Cryogenie mine, San Diego, California by the Gochenour family.

Twinning

Polysynthetic synthetic crystals are twinned on (001).

Type-locality form

Irregular grains up to 0.4 mm.
