Interestingly, some saleeites from this locality are greenish and some are yellow, and this piece leans more towards the lemon-yellow end of the spectrum compared to most others I have seen (the earlier ones, which I had sold 4-5 years ago, were greener). The crystals are of large size for the species, to about 1 cm, and are unusually freestanding on the contrasting quartz matrix. Interestingly, some saleeites from this locality are greenish and some are yellow, and this piece leans more towards the lemon-yellow end of the spectrum compared to most others I have seen (the earlier ones, which I had sold 4-5 years ago, were greener). Highly fluorescent, as with most radioactive species.
