This rare specimen is obviously an old timer as very little has come from Franklin since the 1940s. Just magnificent! I first had this piece 12-13 years ago and got it back recently, in a thumbnail collection purchase. Small world! I remembered it , though, as its one of the more memorable display quality thumbs of the species around. It has a VERY clean repair about the midline. If I had not done the repair myself all those years ago, I wouldn't even know or suspect, as its a very tight fit.
