Hexagonal tabular, flattened on (001) crystals up to 0.25 x 1 x 1.3mm. Striated along [001]. Main forms: Pinacoid (001). Faces on the prism zone,{hk0}, are probably (100).

As hexagonal tabular Crystals up to 0.25 X 3 X 1.3 mm in size, and as epitactically overgrowing on prismatic crystals of Sr-bearing fluorapatite.
