Crystals are microscopic rectangular tablets, flattened and striated parallel to [001]. Pulverulent, fine-grained to compact massive.

Non-standard space-group setting Bmmb. RRUFF (R050608) gives following cell parameters: 15.891(3), 17.332(2), 13.604(1) Å.
